MRCS Part A: The Study Plan

You have full access to the whole Part A course. Every day is a run of exam questions, with the teaching built into the answers.

Part A is a written exam, sat in one day. Every question is single best answer multiple choice.

Paper 1 is Applied Basic Sciences and runs 3 hours. Paper 2 is Principles of Surgery in General and runs 2 hours.

It tests applied basic science and the principles of surgery to the level expected of a trainee two to three years after qualifying.
